Biography
Ludmila Viksna is one of the most experienced experts in Infectology and Hepatology in Latvia. She is the professor of Medical Sciences, the member of Senate and the head of the Department of Infectology and Dermatology of Riga Stradins University, the member of Medicinal Council and the Chief Specialist in Infectology of Riga East Clinical University Hospital. L.Viksna is the corresponding member of the Latvian Academy of Sciences, the member of Coordination committee of the Ministry of Health of LR on control and elimination of HIV, tuberculosis and sexually transmitted infections, and the president of the Association of Infectologists and Hepatologists of Latvia. Professor L.Viksna is the holder of 15 national patents, the author of 5 books and the member of editorial boards of several local and international scientific journals.
